Systems are often best built by designing from the top
down and testing from the bottom up - smallest components are assembled
and tested first. Integration, verification, and validation
are, in part, executed repetitively in sequence. All are also best
planned top down.
Integration can be thought of as following "the instruction
manual" for the unassembled holiday season present.
Verification and validation definitions differ between
hardware systems engineering and software systems engineering. |
